Rakindo, Tulip's 18-hole golf course

Rakindo Developers Pvt Ltd has tied up with Tulip Buildinfra Pvt Ltd to set up an 18-hole championship golf course at Kovai Hills, a township Rakindo plans to set up in Coimbatore. According to a press release from Rakindo, a real estate master planner and developer, the 215-acre golf course designed by Mr David Hemstock, will have South India's longest driving range, a world class golf academy, 9-hole, Par-3 executive course and a club house. Tulip Buildinfra, a subsidiary of Silverglades Golf Development Pvt Ltd and Alert Golf Managerment Services will develop the course at a cost of Rs 25.90 crore. Tulip is associated with the development of landmark golf projects in New Delhi and Noida, the release said. Kovai Hills is a Rs 6,000 crore, 1,000 acre township to be launched in the last quarter of the current year. The township will include a 25-acre IT SEZ, specialty hospital, schools, star hotel, clubhouse and wellness centre. Rakindo Developers is a joint venture between Rakeen, a global real estate company promoted by the the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE and the mineral conglomerate, Trimex Group. - Our Bureau
