A boy sits on the Arkavathi riverbed near Tavarekere in Karnataka on Friday. The river has gathered strength following heavy rains in the last three days. The river provides water to the Tippagondanahalli Reservoir, which supplies drinking water to west Bangalore. All lakes in and around Bangalore are flooded following the rains.
