MS India among ACE finalists

New Delhi, Sept. 5

The US Ambassador to India, Mr David C. Mulford, on Friday announced that Microsoft India is one of eleven finalists in the Secretary of State’s prestigious 2008 Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE) competition, chosen from more than 60 nominations forwarded by US ambassadors around the world. An embassy release said Microsoft India was selected for its initiatives to empower small and medium enterprises, to promote economic development, and to strengthen innovation through strategic product development, including improved technology to combat HIV/AIDS and TB. The Secretary of State, Ms. Condoleezza Rice, will present the awards to the 2008ACE winners on November 6 in Washington. —
