Credit scheme for micro units

Mumbai, Sept. 5

The Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) has launched a new scheme of risk sharing facility for micro and small enterprises, as part of the World Bank of Line Credit. Under this scheme micro and small and enterprises will be offered collateral free credit facilities up to Rs 1 crore, said a press release issued on Friday.

CGTMSE has earmarked Rs 25 crore for implementation of the scheme on pilot basis and has signed agreements with the Small with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Punjab National Bank. It is proposed to sign agreements with two or three more banks across the country, the release said. –
