The Singur imbroglio appears to be heading to a point of no return with reports of Tatas planning to pull out from Singur to locate the plant in a more hospitable location. However there is a silver lining in the proposed talks between the government and the protesters in the presence of the Governor. If all the parties involved had been taken into confidence for consultations without using the State fiat and the problems looked into with care and consideration, the present situation would not arisen.
