Tops in marine fish output: Traditional fishing boats anchored in a fish landing space near Chavakkad beach in Kerala’s Thrissur district. The State occupies foremost position in marine fish production, accounting for over 20 per cent of the total landings in the country. However, contribution to inland fish production is quite negligible, with a mere 2.20 per cent.
