Promotions & Offers States - Kerala Onam special offer on YObykes Our Bureau Kochi, Sept. 7 Electrotherm, the manufacturer of the electric two-wheeler brand YObykes in the country, has announced an Onam special offer. The scheme offers road tax worth Rs 2,020 free on purchase of ‘YOspeed’, two-seater electric vehicle, and free vehicle insurance of Rs 750 on YOsmart — the popular ‘No Licence, No Registration’ electric two-wheeler. Growing SalesMr Avinash Bhandari, Director-Operations, Electrotherm, said the Onam festive offer, which is valid till September 30, will only enable YObykes to reach out to many more people in Kerala, while adding to the happiness and colours of Onam. The recent hikes in fuel prices and rising inflation have created a dent in personal finances of the people. Such an economic scenario, coupled with an ever increasing need for a pollution-free environment have boosted the sales of electric vehicles in the State. The company had sold more than 1,000 YObykes since its launch in April last year, he said. The indigenously-designed YObykes is the pioneer of the ‘No Petrol’ revolution and is playing a lead role towards economical and eco-friendly commuting. It is turning out to be the most innovative mode of commuting not only for women and school children but also for office-going men who seek relief from traffic congestions and high maintenance costs, he said.
