Aurobindo gets nod for HIV drug

Hyderabad, Sept. 8

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has received the tentative approval to manufacture and market Abacavir Sulfate/Lamivudine tablets 600 mg/300 mg from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA). Abacavir Sulfate/ Lamivudine tablets 600 mg/300 mg are the generic equivalent of Epzicom tablets 600 mg/300 mg of SmithKline Beecham Corporation and falls under the anti-retroviral segment. The product has been reviewed under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). - Our Bureau
