MPSEZ: HC dismisses application

Kolkata/Ahmedabad, Sept. 8

The Gujarat High Court on Monday disposed of the civil application by fishermen against Mundra Port and SEZ alleging illegal construction on three disputed creeks in the southern coast of Kutch, according to Adani Group. The company was accused of filling three creeks - Maradi Mata-2, Kotdi-2 and Zharpara on the Kutch coastline. MPSEZ is an Adani Enterprises company. "The civil application against MPSEZ is on issues regarding the creeks in Mundra Port area has been disposed off by the Gujarat High Court," an Adani Group spokesperson told Business Line. It may be mentioned that the State agencies concerned had earlier given a clean chit to the company in this regard. - Our Bureau
