Rubber Rubber output seen at 8.75 lt Coonoor, Sept. 8 The country’s rubber production this fiscal is expected to be 8.75 lakh tonnes against 8.11 lakh tonnes last fiscal, the Rubber Board Chairman, Mr Sajen Peter, said on Monday. Against this, consumption this year was expected to increased to 8.99 lakh tonnes against 8.51 lakh tonnes, he told the ‘Commodities Outloook’ session at the United Planters’ Association of Southern India’s 115th annual conference. Import this fiscal was expected to decr ease about 25 per cent to 80,000 tonnes, while exports are likely to rise 65 per cent to 50,000 tonnes. During April-August, 26,508 tonnes of rubber have been imported, while 26,704 tonnes have been exported. M.R. Subramani More Stories on : Rubber
