Organic tea project on Sept. 19

An organic project for tea will be launched by the Tea Board with funding from the Common Fund for Commodities on September 19. The Tea Board Chairman, Mr Basudev Banerjee, told the ‘Commodities Outlook’ session at the Upasi annual conference that three pilot projects would be launched. While one project will be launched in South India, the other two would be kicked-off in Darjeeling and Assam.
