Opinion - Letters
Commodities market

“War on the commodities market” (Business Line, September 10) was a timley, truth-oriented and excellent insight on the current state of affairs in domestic commodity industry.

The industry is reeling under chaotic government policy, mis-pricing and conducive to several market anomalies.

The introduction of the commodities transaction tax is, in fact, a poison pill for the industry and, if imposed, it will be grave and costly blunder, sending futures industry back to the Dark Ages.
