Haworth to retail Danish co Fritz Hansen’s furniture

New Delhi, Sept. 12 The US-based Haworth Inc, a workspace designer and manufacturer, has entered into a strategic alliance with Danish furniture design company Fritz Hansen to launch the Fritz Hansen Collection in India.

The partnership will offer a one-stop solution for interior design projects and elevate the design industry in India. As a part of this alliance, Haworth would be representing Fritz Hansen in India. The Fritz Hansen collection will be available exclusively at Haworth showrooms across India.

“We, at Fritz Hansen aim to carry our legendary designs across the globe to various people who share a love for high quality design and excellence, and we could not have found a better partner then Haworth to do the same” said Mr Frederik Møller, Vice-President, Sales, Fritz Hansen. Mr Vyanna Reddiar, Managing Director, Haworth India, said, “With over 10 years of experience in providing high quality furniture products to customers, we have worked towards raising the standards of excellence in design and research in India.”

The Indian furniture market is estimated at $7,922 million (as of 2006). With respect to the global market, the office furniture is the second largest segment accounting for 20 percent of the total furniture market. It is estimated that in the next three to five years, the demand for office space will grow at 20 per cent annually in India.
