HIL starts new plant at Balasore

Hyderabad, Sept 16

Hyderabad Industries Ltd (HIL) commenced operations at its new fibre sheet cement plant at Balasore, Orissa. The plant, set up with Rs 30 crore, has an installed capacity of 1.25 lakh tonnes which can go up to 2.5 lakh tonnes according to the environmental clearance, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. “Prior to the commencement of Balasore plant, we had an installed capacity of 6.75 lakh tonnes. Now it will go up to about eight lakh tonnes,” a comp any official told Business Line. At present, HIL operates nine manufacturing facilities in different part of the country including Hyderabad. —
