Aurobindo gets nod for HIV drug

Hyderabad, Sept. 17

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has received a tentative approval to manufacture and market Abacavir Sulfate tablets (60mg) from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).The tablets can be used in combination with other anti-retrovirals in paediatric patients for the treatment of HIV-1 infection. The Hyderabad-based company had earlier received tentative approvals to the same tablets 300 mg and oral solution in 20 mg/ml.
