New Projects German co Putzmeister plans Rs 125-cr expansion Our Bureau Pune, Sept. 17 Construction equipment manufacturer Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt Ltd is on an expansion drive in India and will invest approximately Rs 125 crore in phases to upgrade its plant capacity in Goa. This plant will act as a sourcing centre for components for its global manufacturing needs. The German company expects to complete its five phase expansion programme by 2012. Goa plantMr Andrej Hropot, Managing Director, Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt Ltd said, “The company plans to focus on the expansion of the manufacturing plant in Goa. The expansion will ensure another 1,000 to 1,300 technical jobs on-site. We are also further strengthening our existing network of sales and service outlets across the country.” Within India, Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt Ltd has a presence in Delhi, Jamnagar, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. In addition to its plant at Verna industrial estate in Goa, Putzmeister has production facilities in Germany, US, China, Turkey, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, UK, South Africa and South Korea. Putzmeister exports machinery to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and will also export machinery to South East Asia and Middle East soon. Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Putzmeister Concrete Pumps GmbH and part of Putzmeister Holding GmbH (PMH).
