International flights from Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Sept. 17

International flights will be operated from Visakhapatnam airport soon, in three or four months, after the completion of the new terminal building and setting up of other requisite facilities, according to Mr. Praful Patel, the Union Civil Aviation Minister. He was speaking at the birthday function of Mr T. Subbarami Reddy, the former Union Minister and MP, here on Wednesday. The minister said that 24-hour flights would also become possible soon in Vizag airport. The instr ument landing system and other facilities had been set up for the purpose. The minister said, “This is my birthday gift to Mr. Subbarami Reddy. I am announcing that flights to Singapore and other destinations will be possible from Vizag soon.” —
