Zero B makers to launch two products

Ahmedabad, Sept. 17

Ion Exchange (India) Ltd, makers of Zero B water solutions, will launch two products in a new price segment before Diwali, as the company is targeting to increase its turnover four-fold to Rs 250 crore in two years, an official said here. Ion Exchange would also be employing new and innovative technologies in these products with affordable prices. The company, which launched Zero B Suraksha Plus in Gujarat on Tuesday, would also be making the necessary investments to expand its assembly line capacities at its Himachal Pradesh plant, Mr Alok Mathur, Head, Home Products Division, told Business Line. Ion Exchange has a nine per cent share in the Rs 700-crore organised market of water solutions and purifiers. Nearly half of this market, Mr Mathur said, was in the mid-end, ultra-violet water purifiers. The company is planning to market nearly 2 lakh units in a year after its national launch at Lucknow on July 4 this year. - Our Bureau
