Coimbatore, Sept. 17 Era Infra Engineering Ltd has won a contract for upgradation, renovation and construction for Commonwealth Games 2010 in Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, Tuglakabad, Delhi. The contract is valued at an estimated Rs 70.75 crore.

GKW Ltd has informed that all the workmen in the company’s Andul road works at Howrah, West Bengal (comprising steel division, bolt & nut division, Sankey electrical & stampings division and engineering & machinery division) have accepted the voluntary retirement package and have resigned from the company.

Mastek Ltd has clarified that the company does not depend on Merrill Lynch or Lehman Brothers for any part of its revenue. They are not Mastek’s clients and Lehman Brothers does not own any equity in the company, except in the capacity of p-note issuer on behalf of their clients. Such holdings too have been transferred to other eligible FII accounts over the previous month as on date. AIG is not a client of Mastek as well. However, a subsidiary of AIG is a Mastek client, but forms less than 0.5 per cent of Mastek’s current annual consolidated revenue.

McNally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd has received an order from Damodar Valley Corporation for design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of combined ash slurry disposal system for Bokaro TPS valued at Rs 87.12 crore inclusive of all taxes and duties.

Surana Telecom Ltd’s Board of Directors has fixed Sept 30 as the date for commencement of the buyback of equity shares and April 20, 2009 as the last date of buyback or when the company has completed buyback to the extent of 18 lakh shares under the offer at a maximum price of Rs 50 a share or upon exhaustion of Rs 6 crore set aside for buyback or the date as may be decided by the Board of Directors, whichever is earlier.
