RINL staff wins awards

Visakhapatnam, Sept. 18

Different departments in the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (the Visakhapatnam steel plant) have bagged Viswakarma Rashtriya Puraskar (awards) for 2007 for innovative suggestions, according to a release. For the fourth time in a row, the RINL employees have bagged the awards. Madharam Dolomite Mines, SMS and BF departments bagged the Class A, B and C awards respectively, the prize being Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000. The awards were given away to 14 RINL employees at a function in New Delhi on Wednesday by Mr K.H Muniappa, the Union Minister of State for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways. - Our Bureau
