Hyderabad, Sept. 18 The four-day National Industrial Exhibition-cum-Vendor Development Programme organised by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI), in association with the State Industries and Commerce Department, was inaugurated here on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering after the inauguration, Mr. V. Hanumantha Rao, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry, said that entrepreneurs were facing great difficulty in acquiring land for industries in the State.

He appealed to the Government to allocate special land for the small entrepreneurs. Bankers should change their mindset and grant loans to the micro enterprises through the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust Scheme.

“The prime objective of the programme is to facilitate a business fusion between various public sector undertakings, defence establishments, large private sector industries and micro and small industries for mutual benefits. It also aims to provide appropriate market linkages,” Mr Vijay Kumar, Director, MSME-DI, said.

Around 300 stalls of Government, large, medium, small and micro units will be on display during the exhibition which will be on till September 21.
