Zebra Tech eyeing Tier-II,-III cities

Zebra Technologies Corporation, a global leader in specialty printing and automatic identification solutions, is now looking at reaching out to the Tier-II and Tier-III cities in India.

Zebra Technologies targets sectors across verticals which include retail, pharma, healthcare, manufacturing, airlines, entertainment and others. Mr Shailesh Deshmukh, Country Head, Zebra Technologies, said that Kochi, with a GDP growth rate of 8.3 per cent, is one of the fastest-growing second-tier metro cities in India. The company sees a huge market for its offering with business in sectors such as textile retailing, seafood and spices exports, IT, tourism, health services, banking and shipbuilding.

The company also conducted a channel partner event here in association with Technowave Group. In recent product launches, Zebra Technologies launched the HC100 printer in the healthcare sector and G-series printer which is applicable to verticals such as manufacturing, retail, airlines and logistics.

He pointed out that the overall market of printing solutions including printers in the country has been growing at a pace of 35-40 per cent for the last 3-4 years.
