Sarda Group acquires Talbot

Kolkata, Sept. 20

Kolkata-based Sarda Group has acquired Talbot & Co, the asset valuation and asset management firm, according to Mr Ghanshyam Sarda, Chairman of the group. Announcing the acquisition here, Mr Sarda said the company would retain the 50-odd employees of Talbot (turnover Rs 2-3 crore). He, however, refused to divulge the financial details of the deal. The company targets a turnover of Rs 300 crore and proposes to employ 1,000 people over three years, he said. "We will employ 1,000 skilled and unskilled personnel from the hospitality industry to offer services such as housekeeping, security as well as developing security software in line with intelligent infrastructure," he added. Sarda Group, according to its Chairman, would streamline Talbot's services in keeping with the current trends of globalisation. - Our Bureau
