Viruses Airtel offers free PC virus check Bangalore, Sept. 22 Airtel Telemedia Services has launched `Secure your PC' initiative in South India, through which it aims to create awareness among its broadband customers on the importance of protecting their PCs from viruses, malware and other Internet threats. Airtel executives will visit residential complexes across Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Coimbatore over the next 30 days offering a free check-up on the PCs of its customers to detect viruses using the Airtel PC Secure service, the company said in a press release. Customers can also subscribe to the Airtel PC Secure service that offers parental control as well as protection from a host of harmful attacks including phishing, viruses, spyware and Trojans, at an annual subscription of Rs 599 or a monthly charge of Rs 75.
