Bangalore, Sept. 23 Synopsys Inc, a maker of software for designing semiconductor, launched its Galaxy Custom Designer solution, which is a mixed-signal implementation solution.

The product uses Synopsys’s Galaxy Design Platform to provide a unified solution for custom and digital designs, thereby enhancing designer efficiency, the company said.

It is built on the OpenAccess database for legacy designs as well as a new componentised infrastructure, offering interoperability with process design kits from leading foundries, Synopsys added.

In addition to facilitating innovation with the open architecture, it enhances productivity by seamlessly bridging the gap between the historically disparate worlds of digital and custom design, the company said.

Synopsys said the custom design market is worth around $400 million worldwide.
