Lepakshi showroom in Secunderabad renovated

Hyderabad, Sept. 23 Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd has completed the renovation of its Lepakshi Handicrafts Emporium located in Secunderabad.

The showroom was renovated with the financial assistance provided by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Union Ministry of Textiles.

A release from the corporation said the showroom has already achieved a sales turnover of Rs 1.23 crore till the end of August this year against the annual sales target of Rs 3 crore. Last fiscal, the turnover of the showroom was at Rs 2.83 crore.

During the current year, the showroom has organised three exhibitions and achieved a turnover of Rs 70 lakh. “The showroom will be organising five more exhibitions during the current year and is anticipating revenues of Rs 1.1 crore,” the release said.

It added that the showroom will be introducing a modern art gallery and also artificial flowers to cater to needs of the people in the area.
