New Delhi, Sept. 23

Mr Arun Ramanathan, a 1973 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Services, has been appointed as Finance Secretary. Mr Ramanathan will also continue as Secretary, Department of Financial Services. An official statement issued on Tuesday said that Mr Ramanathan will be Finance Secretary and Secretary Department of Financial Services till the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
