Quick decisions

In the article "How terrible is the financial crisis?" (Business Line, September 24), the author has brought out the frightful consequences of the present financial crisis faced by the US. The situation is akin to the oil price increase faced by the world.

However, the present crisis is borne out of the greed, ingenuity and laissez faire nature of the US economy and the Americans The world is in turn paying a price by way of loss of investment value. In this connection, the US Government has to be appreciated for taking quick decisions and pumping in money to reduce the illeffects of the crisis.
