Venture Capital Inventus, Ojas invest in Telibrahma Our Bureau Bangalore, Sept. 24 Inventus Capital Partners and Ojas Venture Partners have invested $2 million in the Bangalore-based mobile digital media company Telibrahma Convergent Communications (P) Ltd. Inventus led a $2 million Series A round, which saw Ojas Venture Partners co-lead with an equal amount of $1 million, the company said in a statement. Telibrahma’s solution allows companies to deliver rich media content and interactive engagements to a targeted consumer’s mobile phone. Working independent of mobile operators, Telibrahma reaches the consumer’s mobile through Bluetooth networks it has set up in shopping malls, retail stores, shopping streets and sporting stadia across the country. Mr Samir Kumar, Managing Director, Inventus and Mr Pavan Krishnamurthy from Ojas would join Telibrahma’s board, Inventus said. The decision to invest in the company was driven by the fact that the company is playing in a market with large opportunities, and that the team understands the space, said Mr Kumar. This is Inventus’s first fund for Indian companies. Mr Kanwal Rekhi, co-founder, Inventus, said the mobile market in India offers exciting investment opportunities.
