Paddy being harvested in a field near Thrissur. The Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation has finalised the formalities for paddy procurement. An estimated 4,500 farmers from Alappuzha, Palakkad, Kottayam and Thrissur have registered online. Approximately 1.2 lakh tonnes of paddy will be procured in the first stage.
