Our Bureau

Mumbai, Sept. 26 All India Management Association’s annual management convention will be held in Mumbai from September 30 to October 1.

This year’s convention focuses on “The New Manager” and explores its importance in the emerging economic environment, and will also work on key insights for implementation, said the organisers in a statement here.

“The term ‘Manager’ has undergone a significant change from its traditional context in India.

“They have moved beyond merely delivering as employees, to creating value for their organisation, taking ownership and shaping its destiny,” said Mr R. Gopalakrishnan, Convention Chairman & Executive Director, Tata Sons.

This is the 35th annual convention of AIMA, an apex body that pools management thoughts in the country. More than 800 delegates from industry, Government and academia will attend various sessions.

The forthcoming convention will deliberate on sub-themes such as how to develop a global mindset, what is the changing marketing paradigm for the new manager and how innovation is a key tool for the new manager.
