Mumbai, Sept. 29 Mr Shailesh Shah, the Chief Strategy Officer of the country’s fourth largest software exporter Satyam Computer Services, has put in his papers.

Confirming the move to Business Line, Mr A. S Murty, Head (Leadership Development & Global Delivery), said: “Satyam’s Head of Strategy, Shailesh Shah, has decided to pursue alternate opportunities effective October 21. We wish him the very best in his endeavours.”

Mr Shah has been with Satyam since September 2004 as Director & Senior Vice-President, Corporate Strategy.

Prior to joining the Hyderabad based company, he was the Managing Director of consulting firm Watson Wyatt (India).

Mr Shah has also worked with organizations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Strategy Consulting Group and the Hay Group. A year ago, he was designated as Chief Strategy Officer at Satyam

Mr Shah’s future plans could not be ascertained. Repeated attempts to get in to get in touch with him were futile.

Within Satyam, Mr Shah was responsible for organisation design and direction-related issues. His successor is expected to come on board shortly, Mr Murty said.

In the interim issues related to the organizational direction and design will be managed directly by the corporate.
