Hyderabad, Sep. 30.

Satyam Computer Services Ltd has named Mr Vijay Rangineni as the Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Satyam BPO. The move follows the quitting of the CEO, Mr Venkatesh Roddam. In a notice to the stock exchanges, the Hyderabad-based company said that Mr Venkatesh Roddam, who headed its business process outsourcing arm, Satyam BPO, was resigning his position to pursue other interests.

Mr Vijay Rangineni, the unit’s current Chief Operating Officer, will assume the additional responsibilities of CEO until a permanent replacement comes on board. Mr Venkatesh has led Satyam BPO and navigated the organisation through a period of rapid change, developed a new strategy for the business, and significantly expanded our footprint in new service offerings, said Mr B. Ramalinga Raju, Founder and Chairman, Satyam Computer Services Ltd. –
