Citec Engg plans doubling capacity

Chennai, Oct. 1 Citec Engineering India Private Ltd, the fully owned subsidiary of Citec Engineering based in Finland, has firmed up plans to double its capacity in two years.

The CEO, Citec Engineering, Mr Martin Strand, told Business Line that the Indian operations have been growth at 30 per cent CAGR since inception in 2004. With the focus more on the power sector, it is planning to double capacity.

The company offers engineering solutions in mechanical, automation, electrical, civil, structural, process and environment engineering besides product development and project management services. In addition to power plants, the company would focus on industrial buildings also, he said.

Currently, it has 250 people and before 2010 the number would cross 500 mark, he said. The company hopes to achieves sales of euro 6.5 million in 2008 and would cross euro 10 million by 2010, said the Managing Director of Citec India, Mr Mukul Bhatia.

Citec Engineering offers solution services to a host of global majors including Wartsila, Boeing, Foster Wheeler, Ruukki, Kraftanlagen Munchen, ABB, Kvaerner, Nokia, Ericsson and Rolls-Royce.
