Key to win a Mahindra car

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Oct. 1 ‘Chaabi mein gaadi’, a promotional offer from automotive major Mahindra & Mahindra, gives over 8 lakh potential customers an opportunity to win a car from its stable.

Prospective customers have been couriered a key apiece. The selection was based on database generated by the company in league with a private bank.

They need to drive down to one of the company dealerships and try the key out on different models. If the key fits one of the cars, they can simply drive it out for free, according to Mr Dharmesh Kumar, Zonal Head, Automotive, Mahindra & Mahindra.

“We have set aside eight cars which are up for grabs and any one of those who try this out could be lucky to win one on display. Apart from those who secure an invite to test the car out, others can come to the dealership and request for this offer,” he said while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.

“good response”

Introducing the company’s new range of Logan sedans from the Mahindra Renault line up, Mr Kumar said that this contest gives people from across the country the opportunity to win a Logan from the new collection. The contest will be on till the month-end.

Referring to a “good response” Logan has received in the market, Mr Kumar said that the company plans to increase the dealership to about 150 by the fiscal end from the current 105.

In a little over a year since the company launched the car, it has become the third largest-selling sedan after Honda City and SX4, outpacing Fiesta and Verna, he said.

Apart from petrol and diesel variants, the company had recently launched a CNG variant, he said.
