Telecommunications Rothschild to conduct 3G auction New Delhi, Oct. 1 The Department of Telecom on Wednesday said that N M Rothschild and Sons (India) Pvt Ltd is the only company to have qualified for conducting the auction for third generation and WiMax spectrum. DoT had earlier short-listed three agencies, including Mjunction, and had called them to make presentations. DoT has picked N M Rothschild after examining the technical offers made by the three companies. The financial bid put in by N M Rothschild will be opened on October 3 to know how much the Government will have to pay the agency for conducting the spectrum auction. DoT had earlier said that the agency will be given a percentage of the revenues earned from the auction process. The auction for both 3G and WiMax will be conducted simultaneously. - Our Bureau
