Goa to host global soaps, detergents industry meet

Mumbai, Oct 3 An international conference of the soaps, detergents and cosmetics sector is scheduled to be held in Goa during October 12-14. Organised by the Oil Technologists Association of India and supported by leading corporates and industrial houses in India and abroad, the conference has sustainable growth with responsive care as its theme.

About 25 speakers, most with global experience in this dynamic industrial sector, will share their thoughts and expertise with nearly 500 delegates from 30 regional countries across sub-continents.

Corporate leaders and decision makers, technocrats, entrepreneurs and senior analysts in the soaps, detergents and cosmetics industries are set to participate in the event that is expected to crystal-gaze into the future of the industry given the current and emerging challenges and opportunities in the light of issues such as environment, cost and innovative technologies.

According to the organisers, changing paradigms, emerging technologies, dynamic marketplace and environmental and regulatory issues will be deliberated at the conference.

Senior officials from leading corporates including Hindustan Unilever, Proctor & Gamble, Godrej Industries, Henkel and Lurgi are set to make presentations on a range of topics including personal care and home care markets, innovative technologies, surfactants, supply chain management and sustainable practices.
