Retail School at Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Oct. 5

Global Retail School, promoted by Cosmo Aviation Training School Pvt Ltd, opened its first branch here on Saturday evening. It is the forty-fourth in the country.

Ms Aditi Srivatsava, CEO, said the retail sector, growing by leaps and bounds in the country, would require 2.5 million trained personnel in the next few years and there was a huge demand-supply gap. "We are offering, in technical collaboration with Annamalai University, three-year degree courses and one-year diploma courses.

The degrees are recognised. The fees will be Rs 60,000 a year for the degree as well as for the one-year diploma course," she said. The school had tied up with ICICI Bank to offer educational loans for the students. Mr Venkateswara Rao, the local franchisee, also spoke. - Our Bureau
