Ananya dance fest from Oct 11

New Delhi, Oct. 7

A five-day classical dance festival, Ananya ’08, will be held at Purana Qila, New Delhi, from October 11 to 15 from 7 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. The event is being organised by Seher, an organisation of performing and visual arts, in association with the Delhi Government and the Sahitya Kala Parishad. Mr Sanjeev Bhargava, Festival Director, Ananya, said: “Now in its seventh year, Ananya is an attempt to popularise Indian classical arts among the youth. Ananya’s growing popularity among all sections of Delhi’s audience is testimony to the fact that our classical arts have what it takes to weather all storms.” The inaugural offering will be from Chennai’s Kalakshetra. – Our Bureau
