Bankers' team for Sri Lanka

Mangalore, Oct. 7

The Regional Training College of Nabard (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) in Mangalore is organising a 10-day training-cum-exposure visit to Sri Lanka on microfinance for officials of banks operating in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. A press release said here on Tuesday that a team of 20 senior officers (from regional rural banks, cooperative banks and Nabard), which will leave for Sri Lanka on October 12, will study the microfinance scenario, innovations made, and processes adopted in the establishment of microenterprises in Sri Lanka for sustainable livelihood. - Our Bureau
