3 new EDs appointed

New Delhi, Oct. 9 The Centre has elevated three General Managers in various public sector banks to the post of Executive Directors.

While Mr S.C. Kalia, who was General Manager at Bank of Baroda, has been appointed as Executive Director of Vijaya Bank, Mr Vinod Kumar Nagar, who was General Manager at Punjab National Bank has been appointed as Executive Director of Syndicate Bank.

Official sources said that Mr S.C.Sinha, who was general manager in the Union Bank of India, has been appointed as Executive Director of Oriental Bank of Commerce. He will be the second ED of OBC.

The appointments have come through a process that took nearly eight months. More than a dozen ED posts are vacant in public sector banks, banking industry sources said.
