MetroPlus Theatre Fest from today

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Oct. 9

The Hindu ‘MetroPlus Theatre Fest’ will be organised in the city between October 10 and 13.

The festival features four plays by groups from various parts of the country. They include The President is Coming, an irreverent satire on American politics interacting with the fallibilities and conceits of the Indian middle class. A young theatre group from Mumbai will perform this play.

Other plays

The Suit, from Chandigarh, will be an intense and gripping tale of love and infidelity.

Evam’s Doubles, Triples and Quadruples is a new production.

The Dramatic Circle Hyderabad (DCH) will perform Bollox, an adaptation of a Farrukh Dhondy short story based on an exchange of emails between two unlikely pen pals.

All the plays would start at 7.30 pm at Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium. The entry tickets are priced at Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 150 and season passes are available for Rs 1,500 and Rs 900.

The tickets are stocked at Walden and The Hindu Office at Begumpet. They can also be purchased online at www.thehindu.com/theatrefest.
