Opinion - Letters
Singur to Sanand

The tribulations Ratan Tata had to put up with for two years at Singur have now been replaced by relief and smiles. Investor-friendly Gujarat has laid out a red carpet for his Nano project. The Rs 1 lakh car will now roll out from Sanand town in the State.

Gujarat is indeed a lucky State. The availability of factor inputs (land, labour, and so on) and non-factor inputs such as power, components, etc., in the State can help the growth of not only Tata Motors but also other ancillary production units and activities like transportation and communication.

This is the magic of investment. Even a little sum invested on a productive venture can create multiple investments, activities and income.
