Midhani told to ensure availability of materials for power plants

Hyderabad, Oct. 13 There is a huge requirement for special materials for super critical plants and nuclear power plants and it is worthwhile for Midhani to analyse the opportunities and make necessary long term plans to ensure the availability of strategic material requirements of the country, said Mr K.L. Vasudeva Rao, Executive Director, BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited).

Customer Commitment

Speaking after inaugurating the Customer Meet of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (Midhani), he said that the company had a wealth of technological experience and expertise, however, there was a need for reducing cycle time and adhere to commitments given to customers.

A release from the company said the one-day meet was attended by over 100 delegates representing various sectors of Indian industry including ISRO, OFB, BARC, DRDO, Navy, HAL, NPCIL, BHEL, L&T, Godrej Boyce among others.

The release added that the prime objective of the meet was to reinforce Midhani’s commitment towards indigenisation of special metals and alloys development and to assess customer satisfaction on the product quality, delivery, pricing and after sales service.
