SAP eyeing small biz in tier-II cities

Hyderabad, Oct. 14

Business solutions software provider SAP will focus on tier-II cities to expand its small and medium enterprise (SME) customers. “We have over 2,500 SME customers in the country, who account for 28 per cent market share. By focusing more on ‘B’ and ‘C’ cities we wish to expand our customer base more rapidly,” Mr Deb Deep Sengupta, Vice-President (SME and Channels), SAP Indian Subcontinent, told newspersons on the sidelines of ‘SAP SME World Tour 2008’ which kicked off here on Tuesday. SAP has a target of reaching 10,000 SME customers by 2010, he added. The company is also planning to ramp up sales of its recently-launched software ‘Business By Design’ soon.
