Virgin Mobile cuts STD rates

New Delhi, Oct 14

Virgin Mobile, the youth focussed mobile services brand from Tata Teleservices, on Tuesday slashed STD rates for its pre-paid subscribers by 50 per cent to 50 paise a minute. The offer will allow Virgin Mobile’s customers to make STD and local calls at 50 paise without any extra charges. However, the revised rates will be applicable after the initial 3 minutes of a day. Subscribers will have to pay Rs 1.50 a minute for the first three minutes after which he will be c harged at 50 paise a minute. —
