Verizon Business setting up new nodes

New Delhi, Oct. 14 The US-based telecom major Verizon Business has said it would expand its presence in India to support the direct delivery of advanced telecommunications services to multinational companies with operations in India.

The company has a 74:26 joint venture with Videocon to offer long-distance communication services to the enterprise segment.

Verizon Business is now setting up nodes in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi, which will enable it to offer better connectivity to its customers. In addition, the company is investing in local service and support capabilities to directly deliver its portfolio of next-generation solutions to customers.

Mr Blair Crump, Group President, International and Premier Accounts, said, “For many of our customers, India is a key strategic business location that plays an increasingly critical role in supporting their global operations.”

Mr John Samuel, President, Verizon Business India, said: “Verizon Business already works with leading players in the Indian market.”
