Five GMs elevated as EDs in PSBs

New Delhi, Oct. 16 The Centre has elevated five General Managers from various public sector banks (PSBs) to the posts of whole time directors in certain banks. They have been designated as executive directors.

The Government has also appointed Mr G.S.Vedi, Executive Director at Canara Bank, as Executive Director, Punjab & Sind bank.

Official sources said that Mr Asit Pal, who was GM at Bank of Baroda, has been appointed as whole time Director at Corporation Bank. Mr Anup Sankar Bhattacharya, who was GM at United Bank of India, has been appointed as whole time director at Indian Bank.

Mr Sunderrajan Raman, GM, Bank of India, has been appointed as a whole time director in Union Bank of India. The Government has also appointed Mr B.A.Prabhakar, GM, Bank of Baroda, as whole time director of Bank of India. Mr M.G. Sanghvi, GM, Dena Bank, has been elevated as a whole time director at Bank of Maharashtra.
