The Hindu Business Line : New visa rules for biz visitors to UK

Britain on Thursday announced new visa rules for business visitors. Under the new rules, those wishing to come to UK on business for up to six months must apply for a dedicated new Business Visa. Besides, they will also have to prove that they will be engaged in certain business-related activities such as attending meetings or conferences. According to a statement, "The aim is to clarify business activities which can be conducted by holders of this visa and ensure that the UK continues to be a global business hub." The visitors have to prove that they would be arranging deals, negotiating or signing trade agreement or contracts, undertaking fact-finding missions, checking details or goods and conducting site visits and promotional activities. - Our Bureau
