iGate reports $8.2 m net

Bangalore, Oct. 18

iGate Corp, an integrated technology and operations company, reported net profit of $8.2 million on revenue of $55.4 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. In the year-ago quarter, the company reported net profit of $4.3 million on revenue of $50.3 million. “Our ability to continue delivering strong earnings growth is a result of our integrated Technology and Operations (iTOPS) outsourcing model. This model facilitates greater operational efficiencies, ena bles our clients to move to a more variable cost structure and strengthens their partnership with us,” said Mr Phaneesh Murthy, Chief Executive, iGate. The company said in a statement it won seven new customers during third quarter, and completed the spin-off of the Professional Services business into a publicly-traded company called Mastech Holdings Inc, on September 30, 2008.
